After recently reading an article in the online version of Austrian newspaper Der Standard that pretty much expresses what I’ve been thinking about the government’s measures in order to cater for people’s demands for financial aid to compensate for increased fuel prices, I’ve felt the need to elaborately write to a couple of politicians regarding the issue.

Rent in Austria

As there has been some media attention drawn to heavily increased living costs in Austria, there’s an online petition I’d urge every Austrian living in a rented apartment to sign. They basically demand written clarification about surcharges in rental agreements as well as lower commissions for estate agents.
